W. Warren Cole, Jr. Memorial

Mr. Cole served as city attorney for Daytona Beach in the late 1950's. He was the past president of the Volusia County Bar Association and the Chamber, Daytona Beach/Halifax area, and was a fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He was chairman of The Community of 100 and served for many years on the Board of the YMCA and was involved in a myriad of civic affairs. Within the Presbyterian Church Mr. Cole served faithfully as an elder, Sunday school teacher, Counsel on Ministries member and Delegate to the General Assembly.

W. Warren Cole was an avid runner. He played tennis and handball and enjoyed swimming. His hobbies were reading, writing, and sleeping. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was well loved and respected for his integrity humor and service to the community.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Rose Mary ; two sons, the Rev. John Cole (Bette) of Ormond Beach and Stephen Cole (Jeanna) of Summerfield, North Carolina; three daughters, Mary Hester (Mark) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana , Sandra Mooneyham, and Carol Cole Czeczot (Mike) both of Daytona Beach, a brother Charles Edward "Ted" (Theresa) of Port Charlotte, Florida and five grandchildren; Matthew Mooneyham of San Augustine, Texas, Jacob and Grace Cole, Ormond Beach, Florida and Caroline and Jackson Cole, Summerfield, North Carolina.
