Cobb Cole's intellectual property attorneys work across Cobb Cole's corporate and litigation practice sections to assist with the protection of copyrights, patents, and trademarks in litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and in business contracts. The primary goal of Cobb Cole's Intellectual Property Practice Section is to assist intellectual property owners in maximizing the profitability and strength of these assets.

Cobb Cole has one of only 106 Florida Bar Board Certified Intellectual Property Attorneys and the only one in the 7th Judicial Circuit. To achieve the intellectual property certification from the Florida Bar, a lawyer must have practiced for a minimum of 5 years and pass an exam in the fields of trademark, copyright, trade secret, and patent law. The certification application must also establish that the attorney has practiced extensively in the certified field and that the attorney's peers recommend the attorney based on her character, competence, ethics, and professionalism.
